Photos: St. Augustine holds off San Ysidro 81-76 to win CIF San Diego Section Open Division boys basketball championship

The Saints win their seventh consecutive game to improve to 23-7

SAN DIEGO - Top-seeded St. Augustine held off seventh-seeded San Ysidro 81-76 on Saturday night to win the CIF San Diego Section Open Division boys championship game.

It marked the seventh consecutive victory for the Saints (23-7).

St. Augustine held a comfortable 20-point lead early in the third period but had to hold off San Ysidro (23-8) at the end.

Jurian Dixon led the Saints with 21 points. Martin Flores scored a game-high 25 points for the Cougars.
