NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA- The Gulf Buccaneers began spring football practice last week as they prepare for a game they’ll be hosting on May 18th against Land O’ Lakes. 

Gulf is coming off a 7-4 campaign under head coach Sean Eperjesi, who will be entering his third season as the Buccaneers lead man, compiling a record of 10-10 through two years. Eperjesi has this Gulf group looking to take the next step as they reached the region quarterfinal round of the Class 3S playoffs, falling to Zephyrhills 56-27.

The Buccaneers bring back 6-foot-5, 226-pound quarterback Ethan Holewski, who completed 137-of-272 passes for 2,154 yards, 23 touchdowns and just two interceptions. 

SBLive Florida reporter Andy Villamarzo caught up with Eperjesi and Holewski to talk about this spring, what’s different this time around and some of the team goals to accomplish in the few weeks of practicing together. The two interviews are in the videos below.
