A year after losing to Lake Wales in the title game, the Mainland Buccaneers (13-1) are back in the FHSAA Class 3S high school football state championship. Travis Roland will lead his team to Tallahassee to face a very talented St. Augustine (13-0) squad.
The Class 3S Florida state championship game is shaping up to being one of the most compelling matchups of 2023, with Roland looking to guide his alma mater to their first title since the 2003 season. St. Augustine is seeking its second state title, and first since 2005.
