The 2019 CIF Central Section high school football playoffs kicked off Friday night with first-round games across all six divisions, plus the eight-man semifinals.

In the Division 1 bracket, No. 11 Clovis West upset No. 6 Clovis North 34-14. And in the 14-team Division 2 bracket, No. 9 Garces beat No. 8 Frontier 37-7 to earn a quarterfinal matchup with No. 1 Hanford next week.
