TACOMA -- Amanda Lee scored 13 points and Shorecrest played suffocating defense in a 51-34 win over Capital on Wednesday in the opening round of the WIAA Class 3A girls basketball state tournament.

Shorecrest moves on to Thursday's quarterfinals where they will face No. 3 seed Arlington at 7:15 p.m.
