Red Sox pitcher Felix Doubront upset with bullpen role
Boston Red Sox pitcher Felix Doubront is not happy with his role with the team and says he would rather be traded than continue not to start.
Doubront has been used out of the bullpen for the past month and hasn’t started since June 20.
Doubront, who has a 2-4 record and 5.22 ERA in 10 starts this season, was adamant that he should be a starter.
“First of all, I’m not a reliever," Doubront said, via Masslive.com. "They know that. They just, you know, it’s hard but I don’t know what they’re doing. I know they’re not doing the right thing for me."

Red Sox manager John Farrell disagreed with Doubront’s assessment.
“There's a clear role for him in the bullpen and sometimes performance guides where you're slotted,” Farrell said. "Consistency has been something that's always been a focal point from start to start, or in any given inning. That still remains."
