Police in Bellevue, Wash., are investigating a possible assault involving Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.
According to a press release from the department, the police are investigating allegations of assault and property damage, in which the alleged victim names Lynch as the suspect.
The release says the investigation is ongoing and that the police are in the process of gathering facts, "including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved."
The incident did not involve domestic or sexual assault, police said. No arrests have been made.
Lynch is entering his fourth full season with the Seahawks. He briefly held out of training camp, but ended his holdout on July 31 after the team reworked his contract.
