Former NFL defensive end Austen Lane is no stranger to discussing the behind-the-scenes life of a pro football player. Lane wrote two columns for The MMQB about the experience of being a fringe NFL player

On Tuesday, Lane took to Twitter to reveal some of the stranger questions team employees asked him during interviews at the combine.

Most ridiculous questions NFL teams have asked prospects

Lane was invited to the combine after starring for four years at Murray State and was selected by the Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2010 draft. He played three seasons in Jacksonville, starting 17 out of the 28 games he played. The Jags cut him after the 2013 season and he played two games in 2013 with the Lions. He was on the Bears’ roster in 2014 but did not appear in a game.

Lane retired from the NFL last August.
