Who will find the end zone on Monday night?

The highest total in the NFL in Week 9 belongs to the Monday night matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys, as oddsmakers have set it at a whopping 54.5 points.

This makes sense, as Dallas has hit the OVER in six of eight games and ranks No. 2 in the NFL in points scored and No. 31 in points allowed.

The Cowboys are built for shootouts, and now they’re taking on an Arizona team that is coming out of the bye and ranks 20th in the NFL in EPA/Play on defense.

With such a high total, bettors should be able to find multiple players to bet on to score a touchdown in this game.

I’m eyeing a few players, including George Pickens to hit pay dirt in primetime on Monday.

Let’s examine the “why” behind each pick for Cardinals vs. Cowboys.

Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for Cardinals vs. Cowboys

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Javonte Williams Anytime TD (-145)
  • George Pickens Anytime TD (+140)
  • Bam Knight Anytime TD (+145)

Javonte Williams Anytime TD (-145)

Javonte Williams has been a touchdown machine for the Cowboys this season, racking up eight rushing scores and one receiving score in eight games.

He should have a heavy workload on Monday, as he’s played 73.2 percent of the snaps for Dallas this season and has at least 14 touches in every game.

Arizona is ninth in the NFL in EPA/Rush, but it has still given up seven rushing scores in as many games.

I expect Williams to be heavily involved around the goal line in a game with a sky-high total on Monday.

George Pickens Anytime TD (+140)

Pickens has failed to find the end zone in each of his last two games, but he’s scored six times this season and still is one of the most-targeted players in the league, racking up 63 across eight games.

I think Pickens is in a prime spot to score against an Arizona defense that is 20th in the NFL in EPA/Pass.

Pickens is a great red-zone target because of his size, and he’s also Dallas’ deep-ball threat, giving him a bunch of avenues to break one for a score. With CeeDee Lamb out during Weeks 3 through six, Pickens found the end zone in every game.

While his target share has dipped a little with Lamb back, he’s still a great target at plus money in an explosive Dallas passing offense that leads the NFL in passing yards and is tied for first in passing touchdowns.

Bam Knight Anytime TD (+145)

Arizona is still without Trey Benson in the backfield, opening the door for Bam Knight to be the bellcow back on Monday night.

Knight has played 50.7 and 44.7 percent of the Cardinals’ snaps on offense in the last two games, handling 25 total carries. He’s found the end zone three times in his last three games, and he should find tons of running room against a Dallas team that is 31st in the NFL in EPA/Rush.

The Cowboys are allowing 4.9 yards per carry this season and have given up 10 rushing touchdowns in eight games.
