Ohio State Lands Commitment From Top Florida Prep Prospect

Expect Miami to continue to pursue

The Ohio State Buckeyes have swooped into Florida to land a top recruit once again.

This time, it's linebacker Tarvos "TJ" Alford from Vero Beach (Fla.) High School. He's the #161 player in the country, per Rivals. Numerous schools would like to add Alford to their roster.

His list of offers includes Ohio State, Miami, Florida, Florida State, UCF, Tennessee, Auburn, Penn State, and many more college football programs. The 6-foot-2 and 215-pound linebacker is no stranger to visiting Coral Gables so perhaps the Canes still possess a chance to flip his commitment and sign Alford.

Miami has five verbal commitments within its recruiting class, including Tampa (Fla.) Armwood running back Girard Pringle, Jr., the latest to pick The U.
