Boston College OT Ozzy Trapilo Selected by Bears in Second Round of 2025 NFL Draft

Another Boston College football player has come off the draft board.
The Chicago Bears selected Boston College offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo as the No. 56 overall pick (second round) of the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday night.
The Norwell, Mass., native spent five seasons with the Eagles. He appeared in 44 games on the offensive line, earning a starting spot on the offensive line during his sophomore campaign.
In 2024, he started at right tackle and helped pave the way for 4,754 total offensive yards which ranked 12th in the ACC in 2024, and 51 touchdowns.
As a prospect, Trapilo was a four-star from the class of 2020 and ranked No. 189 nationally, No. 18 in offensive tackles, and No. 2 in the state of Mass., according to 247Sports Composite and was the highest-rated recruit in his class.
Trapilo is the second Eagle to be taken in this year’s NFL draft, joining defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku.
