UC Forward Viktor Lakhin Earns Second AAC Honor Roll Spot This Season

Cincinnati has needed every bit of inside production from the forward.

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati basketball forward Viktor Lakhin is back on the AAC Honor Roll following last week's strong two-game stretch.

The Russian averaged 15.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game across the team's 1-1 week.

He posted 14 points and 9 boards in the Bearcats' 70-61 victory over Wichita State. He then followed it with 16 points and 6 boards against No. 2 Houston. 14 of those points came in the second half thanks to the best free-throw shooting day of his career (8-of-10 FTs).

Lakhin ranks 10th nationally in field goal rate (65.2%) and leads all other Bearcats in Player Efficiency Rating by 10 points (30.3).

The forward's been the lone reliable frontcourt piece for Cincinnati all season. More impact from Kalu Ezikpe could go a long way toward UC's success in the second half of the season.

The forward has now made two AAC Honor Rolls this season.
