Watch: Bearcats Legend Corie Blount Tells Funny Recruiting Story Tied to Bob Huggins

The Bearcats made deep tournament runs during Blount's career.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats basketball program almost didn't get Corie Blount's services for its Final Four team backin the early 1990s. He told a funny story about Bob Huggins recruiting him during this week's sports stag at Harrison High School, which Huggins attended.

Blount was a crucial part of of 1992 Final Four team and 1993 Elite Eight Teams. He started 50 games in two seasons and averaged 9.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for his career, before having a decade-plus-long career in the NBA.
