Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner Named NFL Defensive Player of the Week
CINCINNATI — New York Jets cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner is your NFL Defensive Player of the Week following the Jets' 16-9 win over the Denver Broncos.
Gardner was fantastic in the game, allowing just 16 yards on a head-scratching ten targets by Broncos backup Brett Rypien. He added a team-high 10 tackles, and three more pass break ups.
He now leads the entire NFL with 12 pass break ups this season. The Jets take on Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. The game is available on CBS via fuboTV—start your free trial here.
