Alec Pierce, Bryan Cook Post Career-Best NFL Performances
CINCINNATI — A pair of UC NFL rookies joined Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner in making big-time plays for their teams on Sunday.
We start with Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce, who caught a career-long 44-yard heave from Matt Ryan in the Colts' 24-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Pierce finished with four catches for a career-high 80 yards.
His former teammate Bryan Cook got some run at safety for the Chiefs and helped stop the Buccaneers from scoring on a trip to the red zone.
The rookie is picking up the production posting a career-high five tackles on Sunday after having three tackles combined across his first three games.
That pass break up was Cook's first in a Chiefs uniform.
