Daniel Jeremiah On Tyler Scott: 'We Were Just Talking About Speed. That's Speed'

Cincinnati should have a few players selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.

CINCINNATI — NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah had a lot of glowing thoughts about former Bearcats wide receiver Tyler Scott heading into the 2023 NFL Combine.

"We were just talking about speed. That's speed," Jeremiah said about the burner. "That's legit big-time speed on the outside. What I love about him is when the ball goes up, as fast as he is, he gets faster. He is fast after the catch. You can use him on jet sweeps. He's got reliable hands. The one thing that's normal with a lot of fast guys is just gearing down, getting in and out of cuts. That's a little bit more effort there, but a pure vertical receiver. I think he is -- the grade that I gave him is a day 2 grade, so second, third round I think is where he goes."

Scott has shown that top gear over the past few seasons, especially in 2022 when he led the Bearcats in yards per catch (16.6) and touchdowns (9).

Scott sits 116th overall on the consensus big board and 15th among wide receivers. In the past week, 17% of mock drafts are projecting him to land with Dallas at No. 58.
