The Cincinnati native was the 160th-ranked recruit in the class of 2021 and the 10th-ranked running back according to 247Sports. He would've been the highest-ranked recruit in team history during the 247Sports era and still has three years of eligibility.
The former Ohio Mr. Football Award winner rushed for 324 yards and two touchdowns on 79 carries while playing in 11 games as the second-string running back last year behind senior Ty Davis-Price.
Kiner ran with the second team after initially sticking with LSU through the Brian Kelly transition this spring. Now, he joins a backfield that includes Ethan Wright, Charles McClelland, Ryan Montgomery, and Myles Montgomery.
After losing Desmond Ridder and Alec Pierce, Cincinnati has hinted at wanting to feature more heavy sets. The Roger Bacon (OH) product gives them a star running back to build that smash mouth offense around.
