UC's Game Against SMU Changes Start Time, Athletic Events not Affected by Move to Online Learning

CINCINNATI — UC isn't changing attendance policies for sporting events, but they are changing the tip-off time for Thursday's game.
The Bearcats men's basketball team is starting their game against SMU at 9:30 p.m. ET, and it will air on ESPN. The game was originally scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The game is changing times but is still operating like events normally have this season, despite the school moving to online classes until Jan. 24. Cincinnati athletic director John Cunningham doesn't anticipate the three men's basketball games over that stretch being affected.
"Events are expected to go on as currently scheduled and teams will continue to be allowed to practice, meet, and workout," Cunningham told The Enquirer. "We ask all fans attending our events to follow the University of Cincinnati’s requirement to wear masks or facial coverings indoors (unless you are eating or drinking) in an effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus and keep our student-athletes, our staff, and our fans safe and healthy."
The Bearcats have had two games canceled or postponed due to COVID-19 this season.
