Recruiting Roundup: Bearcats Interested in Pair of Four-Star Edge Rushers Among Three Other Offers

Cincinnati hosted Junior Day this weekend and made plenty of offers in the meantime.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats welcomed in a bevy of recruits for Junior Day this weekend and made a few more offers along the way, starting with 2023 four-star offensive guard Tyler Jeffries out of Alcoa (Tn.).

According to Rivals, Jeffries is a four-star prospect and the 14th-best guard in his class. He holds nine offers from schools like Miami (FL), Florida State, and Oregon. Check out his highlights here.

Next up, we have a fellow interior protector in 2023 three-star offensive lineman Cal Grubbs out of Maryville (Tn.).

According to 247Sports, Grubbs is the 44th-ranked interior lineman and 565th player overall. Grubbs holds eight offers from schools like East Carolina, Ole Miss, and Virginia. Check out his highlights here.

Switching from the trenches to a guy that could be running behind these linemen in the future. Cincinnati extended an offer to three-star 2023 running back Darius Taylor out of Walled Lake Western (Mi.).

According to 247Sports, Taylor is the 52nd-ranked running back in his class. He holds 16 offers from schools like Toledo, Vanderbilt, and Maryland. Check out his highlights here.

Cincinnati went big-game hunting on its next offer to four-star edge rusher Caleb Herring out of Riverdale (Tn.).

Herring is an elite pass-rush prospect in 2023. According to 247Sports, he is the 78th-best player in the country and the seventh-best edge defender. He is ESPN's 109th-ranked player and ninth-ranked edge rusher. He has 24 offers from schools like Tennessee, Arkansas, and Auburn. Check out his highlights here.

Cincinnati offered another talented edge rusher in 2023 four-star prospect Rico Walker out of Hickory (Nc.).

Walker is 247Sports' 14th-ranked edge rusher and 161st player overall. He is ESPN's 121st-ranked prospect and 15th-ranked edge rusher. He holds 22 offers from schools like Michigan, Georgia, and Florida. Check out his highlights here.
