2026 QB Owen Lansu Talks Cincinnati Bearcats Visit

2026 quarterback prospect Owen Lansu visits with Cincinnati.

TUNNEL HILL — The Cincinnati Bearcats had one of their top 2026 targets on campus for a visit recently. That target is three-star passer Owen Lansu.

Lansu plays quarterback at Downers Grove North High School in Downers Grove, Illinois. On3 has him ranked 387th-nationally and 35th among quarterbacks.

“It was very good,” Lansu stated to Bearcats Talk. “I got to experience a ton and saw almost everything there was to see as well as spending a lot of time with Coach Thomas and Canada. I really liked their approaches and styles as well as the stadium and new facilities they are building.

“I spent a ton of time with coach Pete Thomas 1-on-1 and in the QB meeting just talking ball and their vision for the program and the QB position. I also went around with Coach Canada and he showed me around the place as well as being super involved in the actual coaching side of things as well.”

This visit left a big impact on his recruitment.

“They were my first Power Conference offer, and I really liked the feel and style of the place, so I think it just depends on how our relationship continues and how my process is with other schools, but they are in a good place with me. In the top five, it was definitely a unique and special place. Their belief in me makes them one of my favorites right now.”
