3-Star 2024 In-State OL Aba Selm Commits to Kentucky

Kentucky's 2024 class is off to a strong start in-state.

Kentucky football's 2024 class now features a pair of in-state offensive lineman ready to become the future of the Big Blue Wall.

Aba Selm — a 3-star interior offensive lineman out of Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Ky. — has pledged to Kentucky, announcing his commitment on Kentucky Sports Radio on Thursday morning:

Checking in at 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, Selm is ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of Kentucky in the 2024 class, per the On3 Consensus. He is considered the No. 46 IOL in the class. His decision comes after visiting UK over the weekend at junior day.

Selm also held offers from Cincinnati, Purdue, Penn State, Louisville and others. He now joins Taylor County product and fellow 3-star lineman Hayes Johnson as UK's first two commits to the 2024 class.

Kentucky brought in a pair of o-linemen via the transfer portal, as veteran tackle Marques Cox and versatile guard Tanner Bowles are expected to plug-and-play for the Cats in 2023. The Wildcats' incoming high school class featured three offensive linemen, headlined by 3-star IOL Koby Keenum.

Offensive line coach Zach Yenser is slowly building a homegrown Big Blue Wall.
