Fourteen Ohio State Buckeyes will be immortalized in school history next fall.

The athletics department announced that football's Malcolm Jenkins, Nick Mangold and Rick Middleton, women's basketball's Kelsey Mitchell, wrestling head coach Tom Ryan, men's basketball's Joe Roberts, women's cross country and track & field's Maureen Cogan, women's tennis' Miho Kowase, field hockey's Yesenia Luces, men's gymnastics' Sean Melton, men's tennis' Steven Moneke, women's golf's Renee Powell, women's volleyball's Taylor Sandbothe and men's volleyball's Nic Szerszen were to be inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame.

The ceremony will take place at the Covelli Center Oct. 6 before getting honored on the field during the Buckeyes' Homecoming football game against Maryland Oct. 7.

Jenkins recorded 196 tackles and intercepted 11 passes in his four-year Ohio State career before getting drafted with the 14th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. Jenkins played 13 years and 199 games in the NFL, recording 1,044 tackles, intercepting 21 passes and breaking up 89 others while forcing 20 fumbles and recovering 11.

Mangold was on Ohio State's 2002 national championship team before starting his final three seasons at Ohio State and getting drafted No. 29 overall by the New York Jets in the 2006 NFL Draft. After an 11-year career with the Jets, he was inducted into their Ring of Honor in 2022.

Mitchell is the best scorer in the women's basketball program's history, owning Ohio State's single-game (48), single-season (889) and career scoring (3,402) records. Mitchell's four seasons in Columbus are the top-four scoring marks in the program's history. She also owns four of the top-five made 3-point field goals in Ohio State history.

Ryan has coached at Ohio State since the 2006-07 season and, in 17 years, has 14 top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships. The two-time NCAA Head Coach of the Year has led the Buckeyes to three Big Ten Championships and won the 2014-15 National Championship.
