2024 Safety Kelvin Hunter Announces A Decision

South Carolina's Football program has landed another in-state prospect in four-star safety Kelvin Hunter.

2024 four-star safety Kelvin Hunter announced today that he will play college ball for the Gamecocks next year. Kelvin is a huge addition to this class, as the Gamecocks pick up another top-150 player within it's states borders in Florence, SC.

Kelvin had offers from schools like Michigan, Auburn, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, and more, including interest from in-state rival Clemson. Kelvin was originally planning on committing on July 2nd, but with the recent recruiting run that South Carolina has gone on, Hunter decided to commit early and help LB commit Wendell Gregory build this defense for the 2024 class, which as of now has only two defensive commits.

South Carolina is currently trending with some 247sports crystal ball predictions for 2024 four-star cornerback Braydon Lee from Baltimore, MD, a teammate of 2024 target Mike Williams. The Gamecocks have been staying hot with multiple recruits trending towards Carolina in the last week, with 247sports crystal ball predictions also being put in for four-star athlete Daniel Hill and four-star running back Anthony Carrie. After getting a commitment from a guy like Kelvin Hunter, the sky is the limit for this class that features multiple blue-chip recruits.
