Zavier Hamilton Narrows Recruiting

The coaching staff in Columbia has done an excellent job building the future defense of South Carolina football. The team has secured commitments from future playmakers like linebacker Wendell Gregory but is still trying to fill out the defensive quota in the class of 2024.

The team has been keyed in on 2024 Linebacker Zavier Hamiton from Gulf Breeze, Florida. The linebacker released his top four schools last week and included the Gamecocks. This release comes as good news for the Gamecocks, who have just one 2024 commit on the defensive side of the ball.

In addition to being a high-impact player on defense, Hamilton also played some snaps at running back this past season. The Gamecocks' coaching staff has prioritized recruiting top athletes and elite football talents, which makes sense why the team is pursuing Hamilton.

The three-star linebacker's final four schools include Florida State, South Carolina, Auburn, and Kansas. On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Seminoles as the leader for Hamilton, but the Gamecocks seem to be trending in the right direction for the 6-2 defender.
