Women's Basketball Poll Watching Week 16: Top Five Remain the Same
The South Carolina Gamecocks continue to chase history. They are 25-0 and hoping to go undefeated in two consecutive regular seasons. They remain the top team in both polls this week.
The South Carolina Gamecocks are the only undefeated team in women's college basketball and remain the top-ranked team.
The top five teams in the Week 16 polls remained the same as the Week 15 polls - South Carolina, Ohio State, Stanford, Iowa, and Texas.
Just like last week, the Big 12 has two teams in the Top Ten - Texas and Kansas State, plus three more ranked teams - Baylor, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. In addition, two of the teams joining the Big 12 in July - Colorado and Utah - are having great seasons and have been ranked each week.
Big 12 Women's Basketball Teams Ranked - Week 16:
- Texas - No. 5 in both polls
- Kansas State - No. 10 in the AP Top 25 and No. 9 in the Coaches Poll
- West Virginia - No. 22 in both polls
- Oklahoma - No. 23 in the AP Top 25 and No. 25 in the Coaches Poll
- Baylor - No. 24 in both polls
