UCLA Football: Bruin Experts Sees UCLA Take Advantage in Evolving Landscape

In this story:
As the UCLA Bruins gear up for their final season in the Pac-12, there's an electrifying buzz in the air. The great news is they are making the leap to the Big 10 Conference, a move that has both fans and the entire program positively over the moon about it.
The Pac-12 will be as good as dead and gone after the 2023 season, and their demise is self-inflicted. The Bruins and their cross-town rivals, USC Trojans, got out when they could, and their other Pac-12 foes followed suit. It’s quite sad, but that’s what happens when a conference doesn’t value its sports programs compared to other powerhouse conferences.
The good news about all this is the Bruins are stepping into a better situation from top to bottom. It's clear as day with the move to the Big 10 comes bearing gifts, and by gifts, we mean extra revenue. Money makes the world go round, and that's no different in college football.
This is why the big money boost is only one of many reasons why UCLA will benefit from the college football realignment, according to Bruins insider Tracy Pierson.
UCLA, of course, will go from making about $25 million per year in the Pac-12 to, on average, $70 million over the next 7 years. That's life-altering money. This isn't a comprehensive study, by no means, but if you really look around the country, there aren't too many programs that will benefit financially like that from realignment. UCLA and USC, in fact, are in a pretty small club by themselves, a club that went from middle-class in terms of cash flow to suddenly elite class.

This will allow the school to pamper their athletes with more resources; with more resources comes better training facilities, a better product on the field, and more money. It's an endless cycle that will be great for all parties involved.
It's like a puzzle coming together – the bucks, the benefits, and the undeniable excitement that's practically crackling in the air. That's not even including the insane advantage UCLA already has with its location. Being in Los Angeles provides so many opportunities that other schools couldn't even dream about. It's such a leg up on other Big 10 schools, and they should be able to take advantage of that.
This is only the beginning for the Bruins, and we cannot wait to get it popping soon.
The Bruins are stepping onto a new field, and with every stride, they're proving that sometimes a change of scenery can be a game-changer. This is how college football always has been; now, other programs are catching up. Better late than never.
