Tracking Every UCLA Student-Athlete Name, Image and Likeness Deal

The landscape of collegiate sports shifted in a major way when the NCAA opened the floodgates to sponsorships, endorsements and more this past summer.
Starting July 1, student-athletes were allowed to profit off of their name, image and likeness rights for the first time in NCAA history. That means anything from TV spots to social media posts and video games is now in the cards, and there are countless Bruins already taking advantage of the new revenue stream on the local and national levels. UCLA Athletics has partnered with INFLCR and COMPASS to provide education, brand-building and disclosure support, while also starting its own Westwood Ascent program as an extra tool for its student-athletes.
The ASUCLA Student Union and UCLA Trademarks and Licensing have also come together to allow student-athletes to use UCLA branding in their NIL deals moving forward, in accordance with certain school guidelines.
UCLA Athletic Director Martin Jarmond said in August there had already been over 50 NIL agreements for Bruins, with compensation ranging from $50 to over $10,000 on individual deals. Not every deal has been publicly announced yet, with some under wraps and others still in the works.
