UFC Megastar Conor McGregor: "I'd Fight Canelo No F***ing Problem"

Conor McGregor says he'd be happy to share the ring with boxing's biggest star.

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor wouldn't mind going one-on-one with the undisputed super-middleweight king of boxing, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

McGregor hasn't been shy about dabbling into the sweet science. Back in August 2017, the "Notorious" one shared the ring with International Boxing Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather won the boxing match via 10th-round TKO.

Nearly six full years later, McGregor still has the itch to put the boxing gloves back on. During a media scrum with Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, McGregor talked about the possibility of fighting Canelo one day.

"I saw [John] Ryder, I'm a southpaw, Ryder was a southpaw, Billy Joe [Saunders] was a southpaw," McGregor said. "I've seen methods, I've seen things I do, and I know he's waning. I would fight Canelo no f***ing problem, yeah?"

McGregor recently filmed season 31 of "The Ultimate Fighter." He will serve as a coach on the show opposite Michael Chandler. The two are expected to collide at some point this year, but not even UFC President Dana White knows the status of the matchup. "Mystic Mac" and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) are at odds over when the UFC star is eligible to return to competition since he's been out of the testing pool.

As for Canelo, he's coming off a successful undisputed title defense over John Ryder in Mexico. Canelo won the bout via unanimous decision, and he wants a rematch against WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Dmitry Bivol. Canelo was defeated by Bivol back in May 2022. Bivol wants to compete for Canelo's titles, but the Mexican megastar has insisted the two fight at 175 pounds again.
