Dana White: Fans Won't be Able to Handle 'Crazy' UFC 300 Main Event

Dana White teases fans once again.

Despite numerous announcements for the UFC's tricentennial PPV, the main event is still under wraps.

Fans and pundits are left ruminating on what possible matchup could top the April 13 card. Whatever it is, UFC CEO Dana White assures everybody that it's "going to be crazy."

Speaking on Instagram Live on January 25, White explained that the UFC is "playing with a couple of options" for the UFC 300 main event:

"When will you get the main event?" White read out a comment. "You guys can't handle the main event. We're working on a couple of different options. Trust me, the UFC 300 main event is going to be crazy.

"We have a couple of options for the main event. I'm still playing with it. When it's time, I will give it to you."

The UFC is in a tricky spot, as its top stars are either booked or delayed in return. Both Jon Jones and Conor McGregor are looking at Summer returns, and classic fan favorites like Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar have been snubbed already.

So what main event could the UFC put on that still captivates fight fans?

The biggest star at the moment that doesn't have a booking is Israel Adesanya, followed closely by Khamzat Chimaev. Though, it's unlikely they'd fight each other since it's not a title fight. On the other hand, "The Last Stylebender" could contend for the middleweight throne against Dricus Du Plessis, granted "Stillknocks" wants a quick turnaround.

Leon Edwards still doesn't have an announced title defense despite rumors of a Belal Muhammad rematch being in the works. Tom Aspinall has just revealed that Stipe Miocic turned down a fight for UFC 300, favoring a title fight with Jon Jones.

Other champions without bookings include Islam Makhachev, Alexandre Pantoja, Alex Pereira, Alexa Grasso, and Raquel Pennington --- though Pennington only just claimed the title at UFC 297.
