UFC CEO Dana White Meets Viral Las Vegas Judge Who Was Attacked In Courtroom

UFC CEO Dana White has met the Clark County District Court judge who went viral after a man lunged at her in a courtroom once he was denied probation.
Judge Mary Kay Holthus was attacked by convicted felon Deobra Redden after sentencing Redden to up to four years behind bars. Video was captured of Redden leaping over the bench to attack Holthus, but he was quickly pulled off by security. Holthus was said to have suffered minor injuries, allowing her to return to work the next day. Redden also allegedly spat at one of the officers restraining him, and when he returned to court he was wearing a spit mask and gain mitts to prevent another incident.

Now, Redden is facing an attempted murder charge as a result of his actions in Holthus' courtroom.

Dana White has certainly made his presence felt in the state of Nevada, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that he ended up meeting judge Mary Kay Holthus in person. White hopped on Instagram Stories with a picture of him standing next to judge Holthus, who appears to be in good spirits.

Redden's initial charge before he attacked judge Holthus was for a baseball bat attack back in April 2023. He was sentenced 19 months to four years in prison. Redden made things far worse for himself when he lunged at Holthus, allegedly pulling her hair, wrapping his hands around her throat, and punching her in the back of the head.
The legal team for Redden has tried to soften the legal blow by mentioning schizophrenia and bipolar disorder diagnoses. Redden is being held in solitary confinement.
