Lake Village Lakeside forfeits win against Drew Central

The Beavers self-reported playing an ineligible player in last week's 33-22 win against the Pirates

The Arkansas Activities Association confirmed Thursday morning that Lakeside High School in Lake Village must forfeit a win due to the use of an ineligible player.

A news release sent by the AAA said Lake Village self-reported the violation that occurred in last week’s 33-22 win against Drew Central. The win initially moved the Beavers to 2-0 in the 6-3A Conference, but with the forfeit Lakeside is 1-1 in league play and 2-4 overall. The Beaver’s game with Junction City Sept. 9 was canceled due to inclement weather.

Lakeside plays host to Dollarway (2-3, 0-2) Friday night.
