The New York Mets have activated right-handed pitcher Bartolo Colon from the bereavement list, the team announced Friday. Colon was placed on the list Monday to visit his mother in the Dominican Republic, who they said is "critically ill."

Colon was placed on the list Monday to visit his mother in the Dominican Republic, who they said is "critically ill."

The team optioned right-hander Gonzalez Germen to Triple-A Las Vegas to make room for Colon.

Colon is listed as the probable starter for Sunday's game versus the Dodgers. The 41-year-old is 11-10 with a 3.85 ERA this season.
