Philadelphia Phillies senior advisor Pat Gillick said that both general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. and manager Ryne Sandberg will return for the 2015 season.

Gillick is the team’s interim president and CEO and while David Montgomery is away from the team to deal with health issues.

"They're under contract," Gillick said to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Ruben is under contract through '15 and Ryne's under contract. ... So right now there's no thought whatsoever of replacing either one."

Sandberg has an 83-96 record in two seasons with the Phillies. Philadelphia is 64-74 this season, last place in the National League East. They will miss the playoffs for the third straight season.

Gillick, who plans to be around until at least the end of the season, has the final say on all baseball decisions.

“But right now if there's something I might have a different opinion, I’ll certainly voice that opinion and we’ll talk it through and try to make what we think is the correct decision,” he said.
