On Sunday the Boston Red Sox released a statement saying Ron Roenicke will not return as manager in 2021. In the statement made by the Red Sox Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom, the organization praised Roenicke's professionalism during a difficult season. Roenicke was hired as the Red Sox' bench coach in November of 2017. In February, he was named the team's interim manager and in April, Chaim Bloom removed Roenicke's interim tag.
