Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm needed to be separated at the UFC 193 weigh-in.
UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey got up close with challenger Holly Holm at the UFC 193 weigh-in.
Rousey weighed in at 134 pounds and proceeded to walk over to Holm before needing to be separated. Rousey exchanged a few words as she was pushed away.
Holm told UFC announcer Joe Rogan that she did not know what provoked Rousey’s strong reaction when they were close.
“I'm here to shock the world. I know that I have my hands full with Ronda,” Holm said. “I have all the respect for her in the world. She’s done a hard job though and she’s run through everybody but I’m a different fighter.”
Rousey blamed Holm placing a fist in her face as a result of the pushing.
“I just wanted to get her in her face and show her that I was there for a reason,” Rousey said. “She’s the one that put the fist on my face. I didn’t touch her. She’s the one that touched me. I told her that fake sweet act – I see right through it.”
