In this week's Hot Clicks Celebrity NFL Picks Contest, Howard Stern Show producer Gary Dell'Abate has a 9-8 lead on me, but we both have New Orleans tonight, so he has the win locked up. That means Gary, whose autobiography They Call Me Baba Booey comes out Nov. 2 (check his site and follow him on Twitter for updates), has the chance to write about any topic of his choosing. Without further ado, I turn Hot Clicks over to Baba Booey.

"It appears the news reports of Mark Sanchez and the Jets demise have been greatly exaggerated. Truth be told, I was so disgusted by last week's home opener against the Ravens that I picked them to lose on this very site. How can the guy who quarterbacked last week's disaster be the same guy that QB'd Sunday's impressive win? Here's what I know. The Jets have had many QBs over the years who were not up to the task. Sanchez can be "The Man" at times. Now he has to learn to be The Man consistently. The league is crazy. The Patriots murdered the Bengals last week and the Ravens outplayed the Jets. So the Jets should have been crushed by the Pats and the Ravens should have rolled over the Bengals. But it didn't work out that way, did it? That's why I love this game. Any Given Sunday!
P.S. Sign Joe Torre to manage the Mets now!"
Here are some items that didn't make today's A.M. Hot Clicks. Steelers safety Troy Polamalu pulls off a great leap to make a goal line tackle. ... A Titans cheerleader breaks down Tennessee's loss to Pittsburgh. ... B.J. Finn, of Raleigh N.C., says, "You should try and post a picture of Jeff Fisher's sunglasses from the Titans-Steelers game. Those things were crazy. Very discoesque." Here you go.
Terry, of Texas, but now living in Maryland, says, "Jimmy, I understand that Air Force didn't beat Okahoma, but they represented themselves very well and put a scare into the Sooner Nation in Norman. Therefore, I believe we should honor them by making Brit Bliss the LLOD. According to her profile she attended the AFA." That is an excellent suggestion.

Cubs outfielder Tyler Colvin got nailed with a broken bat to the chest while leading off third base Sunday. Fortunately, he's in stable condition.
