President Obama responded to Michael Jordan's trash talk with some lighthearted jabs of his own on Tuesday.

After Michael Jordan said last week that he wouldn't want to play in a golf foursome with Obama because he's a "sh---y golfer," Obama, who's never played with Jordan, fired back in a radio interview with WJMR.

"Michael wasn't very well informed about this, I think he might've just been trying to give Ahmad an extra ratings boost on his show. But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am. Of course, if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case.

"He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats, or maybe the Hornets."

GOLLIVER: Five players looking to cash in this season

In the first three full seasons after Jordan assumed majority control of the Charlotte Bobcats in 2012, the team combined to go 62-168, including a 7-59 record in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season that set the NBA record for worst winning percentage in a season. The Bobcats did, though, go 43-39 last season, making the playoffs for just the second time in franchise history.

The Chicago-born Obama made sure to clarify his feelings about Jordan weren't entirely negative.

"I love the man, though. He brought [the Chicago Bulls] a lot of championships. He does like talking trash sometimes, even when he doesn’t know what he’s talking about."

Now the Charlotte Hornets, Jordan's team is 1-3 to start the 2014-15 season.
