Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was flagged in a scrimmage on Saturday for dunking the football over the field goal, according to Michael Triplett of ESPN.

A new rule implemented by the league for this season bans players from dunking the ball during a touchdown celebration and in general forbids them from using the ball as a prop. Since the Saints' scrimmage on Saturday in West Virginia was officiated by NFL referees, Graham was flagged doing his signature dunk on the post following a touchdown pass from quarterback Luke McCown.  NFL referees had been in town for several days prior to the game to break down some of the new changes for the upcoming season. One of the referees, Gene Steratore, reportedly told Graham that perhaps one day his legacy would be having the rule named the "Jimmy Graham rule."

The Saints open the season with a Week 1 matchup in Atlanta to face the Falcons
