Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler is expected to start his fifth straight game when Denver plays the Steelers next week, Mike Klis of 9News reports.

Osweiler has started the last four games while Peyton Manning deals with a foot injury. Denver won its first three games under Osweiler but lost Sunday to the Raiders

“Even if Manning does start practicing this week on a limited basis, he is not expected to be ready to play next Sunday at Pittsburgh against the Steelers,” Klis reports.

Texans QB Brian Hoyer leaves game with possible concussion

After Sunday’s game, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak refused to say specifically whether Manning would return to practice this week.

The Broncos remain in first place in the AFC West but Sunday’s loss prevented them from overtaking the Bengals for second place in the conference.
