Cleveland Browns linebacker Barkevious Mingo is unlikely to play in the team's first regular-season game against the Miami Dolphins Sept. 8 because of a bruised lung, reports ESPN.com.

Mingo was injured in the Browns' preseason game against the Detroit Lions on Aug. 15 and hasn't practiced since. He was hospitalized for two days because of the injury.

The report states that the team has scheduled a CT scan for Mingo on Monday.
