Police obtained video showing former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez at a Boston club at the same time as two men who were shot and killed hours later, reports the Hartford Courant.

Daniel Abreu, 29, and Safiro Furtado, 28, were found shot in a car in July, 2012.

Authorities were searching for a gray sport utility vehicle with Rhode Island plates in connection with the murders and found a vehicle matching that description while they searched a Bristol, Conn., residence for evidence related to the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Authorities are also examining a pistol in connection with the 2012 case.

BEDARD: The Patriots off-season of upheaval

A grand jury investigating the Lloyd homicide indicted Hernandez on murder and five illegal firearms charges last month. He pled not guilty to the charges and is currently in jail awaiting trial.

More from the Hartford Courant:

The day after the car was towed from the Lake Avenue house, Boston authorities searched Hernandez's home in North Attleborough, Mass. What they found at either location is still not clear because most records in the 2012 case are sealed. Jai Lene Diaz-Ramos, the driver, faces three illegal firearms charges. She told police the weapon ended up in her possession after an individual known by the nickname "Chicago" and some of his friends put belongings in her trunk.

A source said investigators also are looking at a .38-caliber pistol, seized after a June 21 multi-vehicle crash from a car driven by a Bristol woman, in connection with a case involving Hernandez.
