Patriots veteran defensive tackle Vince Wilfork tore his right Achilles' tendon, more than likely ending his season, as first reported by Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe.

Wilfork limped off the field in the first half of the Patriots’ win over Atlanta on Sunday night. The Patriots announced that Wilfork had sustained an ankle injury during the game, and he later left the Georgia Dome with his lower leg in a walking boot.

The team captain will more than likely be placed on season-ending injured reserve. The Patriots have not confirmed his injury or status.
