Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matt Moore will get an MRI on his left elbow in the morning, according to the team.

Moore departed Monday's game against the Royals with left elbow soreness after delivering a pitch in the fifth inning. The Rays said tests after the game were inconsistent, but there is no reason to believe it is serious at this time.

Moore pitched 4 1/3 innings before grimacing after throwing a 2-2 pitch to Nori Aoki. After shaking his arm, Rays manager Joe Maddon and assistant athletic trainer Paul Harker came out to the mound. Moore walked off the field after a brief chat with the two.
