Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones is just the latest of many people who don't like fans who come on the field while a game is being played.

During the eighth inning of the Orioles' 14-5 rout of the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, two fans came onto the field, ran down the third-base line and around the outfield being before being dealt with by the police and the stadium's security.

“I think it’s idiotic for people to run on the field, and I think the punishment needs to be a lot harsher, and they should let us have a shot to kick them with our metal spikes on because it’s stupid,” Jones said, via the Baltimore Sun. “You look like an [idiot] when you run on the field."

Jones, who went 2-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored against the Yankees, said he did not find anything that went on funny during the incident.

"We don’t go to any other events,” Jones said. “We don’t go to other sporting events and do that to their jobs, but they come to ours and do that. I get it, you’re drunk and you want to be on SportsCenter. Your [butt] is going to jail with a fine, and you might not be allowed to come back to the ballpark."
