UEFA charges Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola for wearing T-shirt in support of a campaign to investigate a journalist's death.

UEFA has charged Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola for wearing a T-shirt in support of a campaign to investigate the death of an Argentine journalist, the governing body announced.

At a Champions League press conference Tuesday, Guardiola wore a shirt with the message "#JusticiaParaTopo," referring to Jorge "Topo" Lopez, who died in a car crash during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

UEFA's handbook outlaws the use of "sporting events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature."

Lopez's death was ruled an accident but has come under suspicion, prompting a campaign to investigate the incident.

The case will be addressed by UEFA's disciplinary body on May 21.

Bayern Munich beat Porto 6-1 Tuesday to advance to the Champions League semifinals.
