The 132nd Kentucky Derby

The 132nd Kentucky Derby

As always, Derby fans flocked to Churchill Downs to show off their hats, both unique ...

and traditional.

This fan has taken his love of the "Run for the Roses" to new heights.

Question: Does this fan even know he's a walking billboard for the Derby?

Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the biggest horse race in the world runs wild on you?

A crowd of 157,536 -- the second largest in Derby history -- gathered to watch the 132nd running of the race.

Keyed Entry led the pack through the first turn but would finish in 20th after the fast start.

The full field of 20 3-year-olds was considered to be one of the toughest in years.

As Keyed Entry and Sinister Minister set a torrid early pace, Barbaro settled in right behind the leaders.

Barbaro (second from the right) made his move around the far turn, just as he had done in his first five wins.

Jockey Edgar Prado and Barbaro pulled away to win by 6 1/2 lengths, covering the 1 1/4 miles in 2:01.36.

Barbaro became the race's sixth undefeated winner, following Smarty Jones in 2004.

Barbaro is the first horse since Needles in 1956 to win the Derby without a prep race within four weeks of the big race.

Barbaro's convincing win gave Prado the first Kentucky Derby win of his career in seven starts.
