WWE Monday Night Raw Results: Night 2 of WWE Draft 2024, Will Braun Strowman Return?

Night 2 of the WWE Draft 2024 is here, and Monday Night Raw is in for a special edition.

It's time for night two of the WWE Draft 2024, and it all goes down on Monday Night Raw tonight.

The first night of the draft took place on Friday Night SmackDown. On the show, fans saw two NXT stars earn main roster spots with Carmelo Hayes going to SmackDown and Kiana James calling Raw her new home. Will there be more NXT names drafted for the red and blue brands?

We've also got a six-man tag team match set for the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO.

WWE Monday Night Raw Features Night 2 of WWE Draft 2024

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest will team up with fellow Judgment Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to take on Jey Uso, Ricochet, and Andrade. Priest is set to put his gold on the line against Jey Uso at WWE Backlash 2024 in Lyon, France on May 4th, so he'll be looking for a momentum boost before the PLE.

WWE United States Champion Logan Paul will be appearing on tonight's show. Paul is not eligible for the draft, so he will remain on the SmackDown brand. We won't have to wait long to find out what's in store for "The Maverick," who has held onto the U.S. title since November 2023.

Also, rumors have been floating around about Braun Strowman. The former WWE Champion is in Kansas City tonight, per PWInsider. Where will Strowman go in the draft and could he reappear on WWE TV this evening?

WWE Raw Results (April 29, 2024)

Raw began with Logan Paul arriving with IShowSpeed and being greeted by elite NFL QB Patrick Mahomes. The Judgment Day met with Logan to exchange pleasantries.

Cameras then cut to Raw commentators Pat McAfee and Michael Cole running down the draft pools and night one results.

Women's World Champion Becky Lynch has made her way out. She recalled when she first became "The Man" in Kansas City six years ago and said she's still on top.

Liv Morgan interrupted Becky as she asked for a challenger. Chants of "Mami" were aimed at Liv. Morgan said Becky owes her a title shot since she was the cause of Rhea's injury and title vacancy.

Liv reminded Becky that this is her revenge tour. Lynch gave Liv a refresher that she was the one who eliminated her to win the world title. Nia Jax made her way out to an army of boos.

Nia said she dominated both Becky and Liv during the battle royal. She gloated about being drafted to SmackDown, saying that Liv and Lynch have been spared of her as a potential challenger. Jax said tonight is her last night on Raw, and the fans cheered loudly. Liv dropkicked Nia off the ring apron and said if she was going to make a challenge then she accepts.

Stephanie McMahon will get night two of the WWE Draft started after the commercial break.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn and Bronson Reed were shown entering the building.

Stephanie is out for the first round of draft picks on night two.

WWE Draft 2024 (Night 2) Round 1

Raw Selects: Imperium (GUNTHER & Ludwig Kaiser), Damage CTRL (IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane)

SmackDown Selects: Jade Cargill, Kevin Owens

GUNTHER (w/Ludwig Kaiser) vs. Xavier Woods (w/Kofi Kingston)

Woods sent GUNTHER to the outside. He went for a kick through the middle rope, but GUNTHER got out of the way and chopped Woods before another ad break.

GUNTHER chopped Woods down and hit a lariat. He started jawing with Kofi. GUNTHER went for a superplex, but Woods fought him off. Xavier hit a missile dropkick for a near fall.

Woods looked to get in the ring, but GUNTHER pushed him and Xavier's leg got caught. GUNTHER targeted the injured leg before Woods finally broke free. We're off to another ad break.

Back from the break, GUNTHER continued to go after Woods' leg. GUNTHER delivered a scoop slam and positioned it in a way that Woods' injured leg hit the ropes. He had Xavier in a tree of woe position and kept chopping and kicking the leg.

GUNTHER went for the splash, but Woods got the knees up. Xavier sold the damage from blocking "The Ring General" with his knees. GUNTHER caught a kick from Woods and sunk in a half Boston Crab. Woods was close to the rope, but GUNTHER dragged him to the center of the ring.

Kofi Kingston asked for a towel and was ready to throw it in the ring. Woods begged him not to end the match. Kofi threw the towel away from the ring, and Woods scrambled to try to reach the bottom rope. GUNTHER turned the submission into an STF and Woods had to tap out.

Winner: GUNTHER

Jey Uso was interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Jey commented on Logan Paul's arrival and said he wished the other brother with a winning fighting record had been the one who showed up tonight.

Before the draft picks for round two were announced, Logan had Samantha Irvin introduced Patrick Mahomes.

Raw Selects: CM Punk, Braun Strowman

SmackDown Selects: The Pride (Bobby Lashley, Street Profits, and B-Fab), Tiffany Stratton

Logan and IShowSpeed made their way down to the ring. Paul predicted Damian Priest will beat Jey Uso at WWE Backlash 2024. He said Jey Uso can't be a champion on his own.

Jey interrupted Logan and asked fans if they wanted him to beat Paul down. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh made their way out. Paul said Jey is still along. Uso then fought Balor and JD. Paul went up to Mahomes and used put three Superbowl rings on his hand, he went for a punch on Jey, but JD ended up getting hit.

Paul and Balor then attacked Jey before Braun Strowman made his return from injury. Paul ran out of the ring. Braun hit a massive chokeslam on Finn.

Braun chased Paul away. Strowman then looked at Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs o-linemen to talk some trash before Jey intervened.

R-Truth apparently did some business with Chad Gable. Truth told The Miz he thinks he could be drafted to an NFL team somehow. When Awesome Truth walked off Gable got kicked in the jaw by Sami Zayn.

Booker T spoke to Cathy Kelley as a draft analyst. He said Monday Night Raw's acquisition of CM Punk is huge. Drew McIntyre said he knows how Booker truly feels about Punk. but he's changed.

Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bronson Reed - for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Sami hit a dive on Reed on the outside. Back in the ring, Reed slammed the champion down and hit a back splash for a two-count.

Zayn hit a clothesline, but later was dropped with a sitout powerbomb. Zayn got the shoulder up. Reed was on the outside but got back in and was hit with a Helluva Kick.

As Zayn went for the pin, Gable hit a German suplex for the DQ finish. He then sunk in the Ankle Lock before referees broke it up. Bronson Reed then hit Tsunami on Zayn.

As Gable was holding the IC title, Reed turned him around and hit a Death Valley Driver. Reed then posed with the gold.

Winner: Sami Zayn (via DQ)

JBL and Ron Simmons are out for round three of the WWE Draft 2024.

Raw Selects: LWO (Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Carlito, Zelina Vega, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde), Drew McIntyre

SmackDown Selects: Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Angel, Berto, and Elektra Lopez), Shinsuke Nakamura

McIntyre was out and complained about how late he was drafted. CM Punk interrupted Drew from a suite and called him a "little b****." Simmons then yelled, "Damn!"

Chad Gable told Maxxine Dupri that he won't celebrate mediocrity. He told Otis to get it together and warned Tozawa against doing his dance.

Bron Breakker was interviewed by Cathy Kelley and said he's here to take over. Sheamus told Bron he was a fan of his and he reminds him of a younger version of himself. Drew McIntyre moved past Sheamus in a rage from his interaction with CM Punk earlier.

Maxxine Dupri vs. Candice LeRae

Dupri hit a Fisherman's Suplex on Candice. She then landed her reverse caterpillar into an elbow. She sunk in the Ankle Lock, but Indi Hartwell attacked Ivy Nile for the distraction. LeRae hit Wicked Stepmother for the win.

Winner: Candice LeRae

Rey Mysterio was with the LWO being interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Rey said Carlito will have to answer for his actions after betraying Dragon Lee on SmackDown.

Drew McIntyre kept looking for Punk. He was told Punk was in a certain area, but he left for the entrance way as McIntyre watched. Punk said he'll try to finish his promo around the same time McIntyre's World Heavyweight Championship reign lasted at WrestleMania 40. Punk said all Drew is good at is being on social media.

Punk said he was drafted ahead of McIntyre because he's the best in the world, even at commentary. He promised to make McIntyre's life a living hell.

Teddy Long and Alundra Blayze were out for the final round of the WWE Draft 2024.

SmackDown Selects: Naomi, Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Liv Morgan vs. Nia Jax

Morgan went for a baseball slide, but Nia lifted her up and slammed her on the announce table. Tiffany Stratton is in the crowd to watch the match.

Nia planed Liv with a Samoan Drop. Liv drove Nia into the middle turnbuckle. Jax slammed Liv down again and went for The Annihilator. Liv then Powerbombed Jax for a near fall.

Naomi attacked Stratton in the crowd. The two were trading shots near the ring. Nia shoved Naomi off the ring apron. Liv hit Oblivion for the three.

Winner: Liv Morgan

Booker T said he wonders who the next NXT star will be to be drafted. He praised Ilja Dragunov.

Raw GM Adam Pearce will be out for round five of the WWE Draft. He was quite happy that Chelsea Green was drafted to SmackDown.

The Dudley Boyz were out with a table for round five of the WWE Draft.

Raw Selects: The New Day, Lyra Valkyria

SmackDown Selects: Pretty Deadly, Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

The Miz & R-Truth (c) def. Otis & Tozawa - for the WWE World Tag Team Championship

Priest blamed Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Finn Balor for The Judgment Day falling to the fourth round. He told his faction members to just stick with the plan tonight. JD revealed his face was bruised from eating that inadvertent punch from Paul earlier.

Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis were out for round 6 of the WWE Draft.

Raw Selects: The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and AOP), Bronson Reed

SmackDown Selects: DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), Blair Davenport

The Judgment Day vs. Jey Uso, Ricochet, & Andrade

Jey, Ricochet, and Andrade hit dives on their opponents going into a commercial break. Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh began to take advantage. JD was tagged in and was hit by Recoil.

Ricochet tagged Jey in, while Balor was tagged. Jey was on a roll until Priest got involved and dragged Balor's body to get the tag. Priest dropped Jey with a clothesline.

Priest went for Razor's Edge, but Jey reversed for a Samoan Drop. Priest cut Jey off at the top rope and went for South of Heaven, but JD saw this as a team move opportunity and he shoved Jey off. Priest was not happy with JD.

The confusion allowed Jey to hit a splash on Balor for the win.

Winners: Jey Uso, Ricochet, and Andrade.
