By now you’ve heard about Harambe the Gorilla, the endangered animal killed at the Cincinnati Zoo after a small child fell into his enclosure. Plenty of people have weighed in, offering their opinions as to whether the gorilla should have been shot, but now we’ve finally heard from the one voice that matters: Mike Francesa.

Francesa spent over eight minutes talking about the gorilla during Tuesday’s show. You can listen to a brief clip of the highlights here or listen to the full clip below, which boils down to this: “The boy’s safety was paramount. If you don’t understand that, you don’t understand primate biology.”

Mike Francesa eviscerates Rick DiPietro for calling him a ‘fatso’

Mike should weigh in on the news of the day more often.
