Father ruins son’s July 4th swim by telling him Kevin Durant left Thunder

Kevin Durant is leaving a lot of sad Thunder fans behind him as he departs Oklahoma City for the Warriors in the most shocking non-LeBron James free agency move in recent history, including one swimming young fan.

One such fan was a young man enjoying a nice Independence Day swim when his dad decided to to cast a pall over the day and bring him to tears with the news of his hero’s departure. Luckily for everyone, including the small fan’s future therapist, he recorded the moment and posted it to the internet.

The dad followed up to let everyone know his child is not abandoning KD just because he is swapping jerseys.
