Watch: Pirates P Jameson Taillon had a lot of trouble with his jacket’s zipper

Jameson Taillon is good at pitching, but very bad at putting on jackets.

Rookie Jameson Taillon was on the hill for the Pirates Tuesday night as they took on the San Francisco Giants, and the 24-year-old pitcher scored his first MLB hit, which meant he also had his first experience putting on the jacket favored by pitchers as they roam the basepaths.

Unfortunately for Taillon, the excitement seemed to get the best of him, as he needed help getting the coat on and then was completely confounded by the zipper.

In the rookie’s defense he does have on a pair of gloves, which can make operating a zipper a lot more difficult, but this is still way more time than an adult should need to accomplish the task, which the San Francisco fans let him know with a chorus of boos.

It also seems a little odd to need a coat in August, but as Mark Twain didn’t say “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.”
